Nepheline Syenite
Nepheline syenite (a quartz-free alumina silicate) is widely used as an ideal raw material in the ceramics and glass industries due to its low melting point and high alumina content. It is also used as a filler in the paint and plastics industries. Available in various particle sizes, it contains no free crystalline silica and poses no health risks.
Applications
- Paints:
Used in wood coatings, decorative, and industrial paints. It is highly effective in applications where transparency, surface smoothness, and abrasion resistance are desired. It is also successfully utilized as an extender for titanium dioxide. Contains no free crystalline silica, ensuring it poses no health risks. - Ceramic Industry:
Used in glaze production. - Plastics:
- As an anti-blocking agent in masterbatch production.
- As an IR (infrared) absorber in greenhouse film production.
