Cristobalite and Cristobalite Flour
Cristobalite is a high-purity, chemically inert product with excellent whiteness, formed by calcining silica at high temperatures. SIBELITE-branded cristobalite products are available in various particle sizes in our inventory. Due to their excellent optical properties, low refractive index, transparency effect, chemical inertness, anti-slip effect, low oil absorption properties, and controlled particle size distribution, they are widely used as fillers and raw materials in various applications.
Applications
- Paints: Used in interior and exterior decorative paints, anti-corrosion and marine & protective coatings, wood coatings, road marking and powder coatings, floor coatings, and general industrial paints.
- Plastics: Acts as an antiblock additive in masterbatch and as an IR (infrared) absorber in greenhouse films.
- Artificial Marble: Provides hardness, chemical and physical durability, and brightness to the structure, especially in products requiring pure whiteness.
- Other Uses:
- As a raw material in precision casting and jewelry casting processes.
- In ceramic material production.
- As a filler in silicone rubbers.
- In polymer concrete.
- In abrasive and polishing material production.
